I installed AID many years ago. I really dont have a clue what version is installed. I assume its best to update AID to the latest version, then run the uninstaller?
Well I grabbed the updater, put it on a Verbatim DVD+R(Book Type DVD-ROM-Region Free - Which the Xbox reads AVI files off of just fine in XBMC) and a HP DVD-R but dont know if i built the image correct, and what needs to be in the image file anyways. I more or less renamed the rar to an iso and burned, but it always launches to the dash. How do i boot to AID so i can remove the softmod? I tried building the ISO both with imburn and Qwix with no luck. Please help!

Why upgrade? well lets see, the programing logic I was using was that the current uninstaller may not work with previous versions, and even if it does, Stability wise, upgrading then removing seemed to be the best choice.
Now moving on to the rest of what you said, perhaps I misunderstood, but I cant see where any of this is valuable in removing a softmod.
Im looking for instructions on how to create an AID disk with the ability to uninstall. Since the Xbox did recognize the AVI files on the DVD+R in XBMC, the Verbatim DVD+Rs should work fine shouldnt they?

My bad, you are right. I misread and thought you wanted to upgrade the softmod somehow . Frosty's disc is another way to disable shadow C and gain ftp access to real C. Once you have access to real C and delete all the files and replace with stock msdash files (extract from CASH disc with qwix), the softmod is removed.
