since the article doesn't MENTION that he is a democrat, i will. i used this article as my source to illustrate media bias in addition to the fact that this really is a big deal.

this governor actually replaced a republican (george ryan) who was also arrested for corruption.

(is it worth mentioning that Rod is also a friend of Tony Rezko? i'm sure that name will ring some bells)

FWIW blagojevich didnt "replace" ryan, he succeeded him, ryan served out his term and chose not to run for re-election in 2002
