I believe the ID/key may be elsewhere on the board. Possibly on the sticker behind the RF-board. I found some similairities between the code and my ID. I only think that it's just luck.

Wish I had more ID's to fumble with. There's probably some checksum you have to add to the code or some logical operations.

Hmm, nice... i will check if i can dig into this one, since i have a couple of x360s in hand, thanx for the notice, if anything comes up, i will let you know

I think Microsoft uses a program that can flash the drive via the Dashboard or something. This way the employees do not have to dig for the code which is encrypted in the cpu.

Why not send the dvd drive to someone on here that can manually extract the key?

If sst 39sf020 is disabled, no chip or lost power due to bad vcc trick use, Mtkflash reports sst25vf040. The other clue is e65 error rom has failed to function because f/w flash (sst 39sf020) cannot be seen by mt1359se!

So how can i manually do that? If i could send it to you guys and u'd extract it for me that would've been great, but the problem is that i dont live in the US and so its almost impossible to use any hand but mine. And ur brains smile.gif Wish someone can help me out here. I already got another box but i want to fix this one and sell it.

I tried finding a way to get the key out of other sticker number on the back of the drive but nothing seems to work. Wish i can put my hands on some kind of keygen microsoft uses to make the key. Its for sure linked to the xbox serial. but cant seem to know what. If anyone finds any kind of huristic way or any solution for me to get the key out of this rived, please PM me or email me on amnya2000@yahoo.com I dont know why i dnt get any emails when u guys reply to my posts, thought i set all the settings in my profile to send. Strange.

Thanx in advance guys smile.gif
