I got my xenon on launch day, whenever that was. It finally rrod'd in December 2008. Although I must admit as a 38 yr old married and employed guy with multiple hobbies I only play about 8 hours a month max. So the trick to xbox longevity is to have a life. :-p I know I'm gonna get flamed for that but oh well, it's true.
Then I got a new elite in dec 2008 and it was in the shop inside of 3 weeks because it wouldn't recognize disks in the drive anymore. Pretty unbelievable!! First one lasts forever and the new one is junk.

#1 worst drive in the console. (only drive in new consoles since mid 07)
hitachi is 2nd and samsung is the best.

i saw that and just had to reply, anyways i posted to say i had another jasper go 3rlod, the first 2 whent 0001 this one is 0002, they really need to fix the problems with power on that board. i recently fixed about 20 3rlod (0020/0102) falcons, so as expected they dont stay cool enough either, cant wait untill jaspers start going 3rlod (0020/0102)...lol
