i herd the ps2 has a modchip that plugs in to it wiothout having to actually open it and i was wodedring if there was one for xbox because
1 it is easy to use
2 it does not void the warranty
if not is there one in development or something simular

It's not a chip, but you can do a soft-mod "exploit" and do everything you can do with a modchip. It's in the tutorials section here (multiple articles).

Reflashing the tsop requires a solder, but I think some of the exploits don't (never done it, so not 100% on that. However, by not opening the xbox you can't upgrade the crappy hard drive, and thus can't take advantage of a many cool features of a modded xbox.
