I started modding my case by painting it. I'm gonna cut the dvd window later even though I know its bad form. I've already cracked the jewel so I just painted over it anyway which brings me to my question. I don't think I've seen this before BUT... what if the jewel LEDs weren't put around the jewel hole underneath the case? What if they were poking through the lip and lit up that way? I'll probably just do it anyway, but I figured I'd ask. It probably won't get as good illumination unless I have something diffusing it around the inside of the recess, but we'll see I guess.

Well, just so all the newbs know, its NOT a good idea to paint yer xbox w/o sanding and primering it unless yer using Krylon Fusion wink.gif I'm just testing things out right now, but i tried to put a coat of candy apple red over a coat of black metal flake in some spots, and ... well its only the first coat, but I can already see where the paint is running and not sticking. Oh well, live and learn, or something. Maybe I'll take pictures when its dry so you can see how bad I screwed up tongue.gif
