I had follow 3 diiferent instruction on how to burn a backup image.
I have lite-on iHAS123 dvd drive and is already hacked for ixtreme burner max.

dvd DL - memorex dics
game - assassin creed revelation
patched - use xbox backup creator ( XGD3 profile id f87a804e top data v1.bin )

I'm using imgburn went to advanced setting and enabled :
force hyper tuning, online hyper tuning, overspeed , and smartburn.

on setting under write:
check (perform OPC before write) for 4x burning

I burn fine without any error . but It keep saying dics not recognized

Do you know what step im missing?

I been using memorex for a couples of years with no problem.

it just the 3.0 firmware and the liteon ihas124
I had try to burn using my regular external liteon to burn the image after the xdg3 patch and have same problem.

I think im missing a step somewhere.

I could also play MW3 using my A-One Gold disks with 2.0 but can't with 3.0. I've patched with the universal topology data, burned at 2.4x and verified 100%. The disks gives read errors. I've also tried resistor pot tweaking.

Non-XGD3 backups boot and install fine but I'm getting nowhere with MW3 (the STRANGE release)

I have follow the ixtreme tutorial to the Ts...exact hardware, software and setting.
And i am using Verbatim MKM001 disc.

The only interesting thing that i have found is that the verify step will fail on the odd times...even with the perfect setup.

Try using those 2 things on your head called ears, or eyes since we're on the internet.

XGD3 backups pack more data per sector on a disk, they need top quality disks to burn reliably. i.e VERBATIM, it's your only option for a decent burn. I don't care if you got games to work burning them to drinks mats before, you won't now.

Got it!?

Burner quality is more important than disk. While I agree verbatim disks are higher quality, you don't HAVE to use them. I used memorex disks for two of my burns with LT+ 3.0, and they work just fine.

What settings in IMGburn did you use?
