I read the tut on how to do xbox to xbox transfers and was wondering 2 things. 1, if I hook up both xbox's via a router wired will that work without a crossover cable, and 2, if I hook up two xbox's directly to I still need to edit the avalaunch.xml. The tut I saw is from 2004.

If you use a router, switch or a hub, I seen no reason why it wouldn't work. Just be sure to follow the guide regarding everything else.
