i followed the instructions on JF help pdf to flash my friends v59 and everything went fine and i read orginal fw and backed it up. Got the key went to dvdkey thing and loaded ix151-59.bin and spoofed the key over to that and saved the firmware. went back to hitachi tab and changed to flash ixtreme button. said it completed fine. did the query thing and it said drive is flashed with 1.51. It will read orginal discs but still won't read a burnt one. Any suggestions. Im gonna reflash to stock again and try it again i guess. not sure if i missed a step. Any help would be great.

thanks

I FEEL DIRTY AFTER HITACHI FLASH, its well documented that hitachis have trouble reading burnt discs ,original discs are pressed and easier to read,so if original read ok then theres nothing wrong with the flash, hitachis often after flashing get dirty disc ,or unreadable disc after a flash, it is strange as sammy drives donot suffer the same thing yet utilise the same laser, you must use the best media, verbs, try tweaking the pot or a new laser/drive will be required.

yeah that is what i finally chalked it up to. I told him it is flashed but he will have to use verbs for his burns. He also mentioned he had disk read errors before on orginal media before i flashed it. So i just told him it is his drive being weak is why it won't read the burnt media. Not sure im comfy with tweaking the pot tbo will have to do some more reading.

thanks for the confirmation though
