Ok so i have a softmodded v1.2 or v1.3 xbox with evox dashboard and xbmc. I dont use the dvd drive and want to completely disable it including the checks looking into it, it has the retail 5101 Bios and i would like to know what bios should i use using PBL. I have found a download with about 20 Bios and im not sure what Bios to use with fear of Bricking my box.

Sorry if this has been asked before but i seem to be going around in circles and my head hurts from looking!

if anyone could help me it would be very appreciated

You cannot get around the DVD check by PBL'ing a bios. It must be flashed to the TSOP. Get iND bios and flash it to your onboard TSOP.

and i can do that by soldering the 2 points on the motherboard? then FTP the new bios in PBL? sorry to keep on!

um i think xecuter bios 4981.67 is the best works with 1tb hdd
