Softmod A Hardmod Options

hi

could someone help me, I want to softmod my xbox (modded with alladin) so i can remove the chip and use it in another xbox and still be able to play games loaded on the hdd.

does it boots to the MS dash with the chip off

if so FTP whatever gamesave exploit you want to use
to E:\udata then run it's default.xbe (with chip on)

Well if you're not familiar with ftp,l you better do some reading and you'll need:

= 1 of 3 original games (AgentUnderFire 007, Splintercell & Mechassault)
= AR memory card
= Gamesave exploit (from the USUAL PLACES)(preferably get Krayzie's UXE installer or UXE_ENG_v2.5)

It'll make your job a lot easier if you know how to ftp to your xbox.

Action Replay not needed if you have an already modded box, just ftp the exploit to a normal memory card. Thats what I did for the Mechassault exploit, worked great.

But as shadow said, get reading. You have lots to learn.

i don't have any cables or anything for ftp

if anyone could help in softmodding my chipped xbox without ftp your help would be greatly appreicated

Gee all you need is one cable and ethernet adoptor or router. You can burn the softmod (UXE installers) onto a dvd/cd and do it that way.

PS: no offense but I hope you don't expect everyone in here to walk you all the way through softmodding your xbox. I'm telling you, you need to do some research. It's for your own benefit. If you just try and softmod your xbox without any research you could have problems (even though you have a chip to get you out of trouble).

UXE is another softmod. Krayzie's UXE installer and UXE_ENG_v2.5 will make things a lot easier. They will install the softmod in your xbox.

Oh no it's not like an installer that you stick in your xbox dvd drive. You burn the UXE into a dvd/cd and then use a dashboard's file manager to transfer the gamesave(UXE) to your E:\UDATA. And then get AUF 007 or SC or MA game and launch the gamesave through the game.

use Krayzies UXE installer.... there couldnt be an easier way to do it! get it from the usual places.

how ever, to really get the use from the softmodded xbox your wanting you will need to setup ftp access. It's easy, just follow the guides already posted.

Because i remember how nervous i was the first time i did a softmod, go do all your research so you know whats doing. get an ethernet cable a hub or whatever, on original copy of SPLINTERCELL, MECH ASSAULT, or AGENT UNDER FIRE 007 (they must be original. not classics versions) and a 8mb xbox mem card. get ALL of that and i'll give you my msn to help you though anything you havent worked out from your research.

But seriously, it is really easy to do. you'll fly through.

could i just launch off the chip and install the softmod
then disable the chip and launch

and hopefully it should be softmodded and so i can remove my chip

wait. if u soldered in an aladdin chip i assume you are not shy with soldering, and therefore you could solder two points on the original bios to enable flashing, boot up with the aladdin and snip the wires off while your xbox is on. From there you could flash your onboard bios with the same bios you had on your aladdin and no need to softmod or buy a shitty 007 game or mem card or ftp or anything like that.

i dunno sounds alittl more complicated to me but since u dont want to ftp...well u know...
