I just did the 12 volt fan mod,was great for temps but damn that fans loud! My xbox is now louder than my pc and my pc has 5 fans!

I took the black wire out very carefully incase i wanted to put it back,i have searched the forums and it seems there are ways to change the fan speed with a dash or bios? I have slayers 2.6 and am using evo x as default dash,i know avalaunch has a fan speed option but you have to load it up every time if its not your default dash?

I got my xbox pre-modded so im still learning,what is xbtools and how do i use it to change my speeds? I have an executer 2.6 chip is this reflashable? I think it is because there is a flash protection switch on the front of my xbox.

I managed to ftp to my pc yesterday after 2 hours of tweaking so if i can do it that way that would be great. huh.gif wink.gif

as far as i know evox you cannont change the fan speed
use avalaunch or unleashx they are better.

yes the xecuter (not excuter) 2.6 is reflashable...visit teamxecuter.com
and if your using an xecuter bios (which most likly you are) xb tools will not work for you as the bios is encrypted.

aight dude may i just ask this question ....

why the hell would you do the 12 volt fan mod to your xbox if your gonna slow down the speed in the end.




your end does not justify your means....


and the reason the xbox is noisy is that the fan suck try replaceing it with the ones you got in your comp it should quiet down. grr.gif

Boys you all need to chill the fuck out It aint that big of deal. Id say this could fit both places, because its a MOD, on a peice of HARDWARE. but its also a "noob" question, so either places is okay. Seems like people jusst come on here looking to find something new to complain about


Edit: Yeah sorry I forgot to actually help, Um yeah, if you didnt have heat problems in the first place then u cud turn it down with a dash or bios, but if u got problems with heat, replace the fan.
