Hi,
I got a huge pack of ROMs for all kinds of different emulators.. the problem is that when I try to ftp them to the HDD, about every 5th file fails copying.. Tried FlashFXP and Filezilla.. gave some weird error, here's the log:
[R] SIZE New Tetris, The (U) [!].zip
[R] 500 command not implemented
[R] PASV
[R] 227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,1,68,4,15)
[R] Opening data connection IP: 192.168.1.68 PORT: 1039
[R] STOR New Tetris, The (U) [!].zip
[R] 550 Invalid argument
[R] Transfer Failed!

When I tried to transfer them via usb thumbdrive, it only copied the games that started with numbers :S Starting from A, nothing was copied..

Didn't find a homebrew unzip soft either, so I can't copy them zipped..

What's the problem :S

FATX doesnt allow certain characters or your filepath name is too lonmg theres a maximum character length

i found this also and had to remove ! etc and shorten the filenames

Holy cow, is there a way to do this automatically? Doing it manually would take more time than it's worth.. I have like thousands of those games..

You are not the first! While, it's not necessarily automatic, there is a way to do it faster. This link may be of some use to you: http://www.xbox-scene.com/tools/tools.php?page=managers

I assume you have a jtag since you´re able to play emulators so if you have your console connected to a home network you could use the ConectX plugin for Dash Launch. Like that you can have your emulator and roms on the computer and keep the filenames as they are. Sure, they'll load a little slower but you won't notice since roms usually are very smalll in size.
