I have a few question about modding. I have done some research and know some about it. What is the best solderless mod chip and does it come preflashed?

Read the first sticky...
none will come pre-flashed with a hacked bios. They will have the cromwell flash bios, bios on it so you can get a new bios from the usual places. Xenium S.P.ICE looks to be the best option, or maybe the x3 with the x3pter... i dont really know i got a old aladdin advanced 64+ and a TSOP flash in my 1.1 |

if you have a non 1.6 xbox, then the best solderless chip would be the tsop!
already soldered by microsft and free ;-) |

If it is a 1.3 > then you need to do about 2mm worth of soldering on the missing jumpers
If it is a 1.0 - 1.1 then you have to solder in a wire. Not much effort but well worth it |

Not much effort but well worth it i only know 1.0/1.1 tsopping because i did it once you only need two droplest of solder (one on bottom of mobo AND one on top of mobo) except one type of tsop (shark or sharp dont know for sure) needs an extra wire but it isnt really soldering ... ive heard also from someone that youre able to connect those unlock points with aluminium foil (or is it called tin foil?) ... i have never tried this but he said that it worked |

I wouldn't recommend solderelss.
If you have ANY soldering experience, then it really is not hard to solder a modchip in at all. But you don't have to solder it, just a suggestion. |

Well maybe you should buy a tiny soldering iron with a pin tip from overseas
