Ok i used XBOXHDM made a new drive i got error 9 ok thats fine to i re did it because i thot i did sumthing wrong ok so now i get error 8 and im stuck here plz give me a hand thanks in advanced!

did you LOCK your HDD before you put it in your xbox?

I cant Lock mine, so im pretty stuck right now.

Error 5 would be unlocked HD

Error 6 would be locked with wrong password

Error 7 is dead or disconnected HD

Error 8 Drive not connected

Error 9 Not very common but has to do with the HDD Parameters

Did you change the jumper settings by chance?

Jumper settings what do u mean like slave and cable select?

Mine is on cable select

I also unpluged the dvd cable and it gave me error 11 so its not the cable

OK to verify I Am posative its not any cables i used slayers 2.6 dash files that come with that to make the dash is that whats wrong maybe do i need 2.5? cuz if so i cant finde it anywere!

Agreed

i used a eeprom.bubin file to get the code and now i can change the code of the hd i wanna use to the code it gave me and bam it worked just luck on my side

I am sure my BIOS said i could turn off security, BUT HOW?? All i need is to turn this Security stuff off, from my BIOS.. maybe i should try it from a friends computer with a different BIOS? dry.gif

Yea give it a shot but i dont think you can unlock with a bios on yer pc you need a spetial unlock key
