Wow, those look sweet.. never saw anything about that game yet.

Now see, thats whats going to be hard about figuring out games on the 360.
They are all gonna look so sweet that we will want to buy them, but
then we realize when we get to gameplay, that it is just like playing the other
MotoGP games..

At the time I was talking about 360 games,
but I guess you are right... all next gen games are going
to suffer repetative gameplay that we've already experienced.
Wash my mouth out with soap for saying this, but maybe
there will be something 'fresh' about Nintendo's new system
even though the hardware specs aren't up with the rest
of the big boys.

Back to playing DOA4... smile.gif

focus is a great thing aint it... look at the pictures again... the bikes look nice and realistic yeah.. but

the backgrounds look asstastic.
the bikes/riders are not casting shadows on themselves (Self shadowing)
no motion bluring on the wheels during motion
lots of the WRONG parts are shiny

Smooth metal/leather/glass surfaces are very easy to do in 3d, its organic elements that are difficult and when someone gets that right I'll be impressed... until then ... make it shiny everyone will be happy with that.

does anyone know if the gameplay is offering anything new or is it the same game as before with an updated engine?

No idea if its offering anything new, and to most that are avid bike fans, it doesnt need 2 do so. We just need a 360 version and race race race!

I use a 1st person view and everything is zooming by far 2 fast to notice things like trackside detail. Get your soundtrack pumpin' and listen to your friends bitch you out as you *accidentally* nudge them a little so they wipe blink.gif

I didnt hear as many good things about GP 3 as I did part 2. I played part 2 a lot with friends every night, and they said 3 wasnt as good(I personally didnt get it). But like I said, GP fans will nab this bad boy up real quick smile.gif

*Added* -General comment: A series as good as GP for Xbox(much better than the shit on ps2, different developers entirely) doesnt need to have revolutionary changes made 2 it. Its a racing game, and it accels at being very polished overall. The others in the series shined, this one will too. Nothing needs to be added 2 please bike/GP enthusiasts. So for the naysayers, Please keep the "so whats next gen about it?" to a minimum or..

No fresh pop.gif will be handed out!

Dont take this as an insult but didnt you have something to do with Gun and THAW? How can you criticize graphics?

GUN & THAW were both ps2 games ported to 360, Moto GP is 360 exclusive and thus should be treated as such. BTW - "something to do with" translates to "Sku lead" meaning I was in charge of THAW360 and worked on GUN360.

Further - since when did anything anywhere ever say that someone should not have an opinion on anything they wish? When something is held up as the best thing since sliced bread then I'm afraid it must be judged as such and compared direclty to sliced bread, in this case perfection.

In this case ALL my points stand - further to that I've made these points to the developers themselves (yes I know some of them, even work with one of them right now).

Deftech - are you sure that MotoGP and Moto GP are the same game? The old ones were done by namco, this one is done by Climax Brighton in the UK. Oh - and I agree on the gameplay, having made and loved a bike racing game in the past I know I'll get this one ... I just wondered if they were adding anything new is all... racing games are always good.... provided they're not called PGR tongue.gif

I glad to see I'm not the only one not on my knees sucking PGR3's weinerschnitzel. Although the game has some good points I'm not just bowing to it. I did not find it fun. I found it more of the same and not much innovation.

Anyway, enough hijacking, I do hope that motogp ends up being very decent cuz I'd love to see the beautiful ragdoll physics on my opponents as I nudge them off their bike! muhaha.gif

The graphics don't look as good as Excitebike on NES, but it will do.

I have no idea how to answer that. Whats the difference between MotoGP and Moto GP, lol.

Alls I said was that the Moto GPs found on PS2 are entirely different games than the xbox versions. Different developers entirely, and it sickens me when people think they are one in the same. The ps2 GPs are laughably bad.

what old ones are we talking about? Im only talking about the xbox versions 1 - 3. I'm not familiar with anything else.

Xbox:
Moto GP: Climax(dev) THQ(pub)
Moto GP 2: Climax(dev) THQ(pub)
Moto GP 3: Climax(dev) THQ(pub)

Xbox 360:
Moto GP 2006: Climax(dev) THQ(pub)

PS2:
Moto GP: Namco
Moto GP 2: Namco
Moto GP 3: Namco
