Just found the first PCB solution for all the liteon drives. Check it out here:

Nice idea.
Traces still need to be cut, though.
Chances are good that if you can cut traces and install this,
you're capable to fixing the traces and desoldering aftarward.

hmm its interesting especially as you don't have to remove it later / repair the tracks. Id love to see a video/pic's of this being installed.

Sure you can to it the other way but I'm thinking purely fast install's and turn around.

oh well I've ordered 2 to give them a test.

At a guess you would have to bridge the tracks you cut, just like the other methods that are already out there

sorry but,i dont like,it got 6 solder points there, just the fact it is a solder in place and no wires makes me think that it will be cause of more drive mess ups due to making people who dont know what they are doing think that they can pull it off. as it is you need just solder 6 points using boxxdr method,at east i can see where i am puting the wires,i can see above, below all round it.

just same situation as ck3 pro, some made it themselves and some bought,i did both but,i am sticking with boxxdr method all same.

other than cutting the trace, does this method require us to remove the top green layer at the solder points? coz most of my time is not spent on soldering but sanding those locations. would def love to see the whole install instructions.

What do you guys suggest to cut traces easily? I've done it before with a sharp razor blade, is there anything better one can use? It just made me nervous about messing up something or cutting into something else.

Can you install this (with traces cut), dump firmware, then remove this switch, and connect traces again?
And use the LT switch another time for another Lite-On drive (same way as described above)?
