xbox 360 is just xbox 1.5, so will ps3 be the playstation 2 they promissed,toy story gfx etc.so far sony has only shown trailers nothing more,this takes me while back 2 the days of the dreamcast when i was playing sonic, sony started 2 show some trailers of gran turismo and they did look good, but then the game came out and it wasn't the the game the showed, maybe it was gran turismo 6 or 7 lol , sony knows xbox 360 will rule,and theres nothing they can do about it except saying this sad things beerchug.gif

I've used this analogy before...

It would be as if ford never made any cars between the Model T and the new Mustang than said that they were better than GM because this years Corvette isn't as much of an improvement over the model they made 5 years ago.

It's a fact that the PS3 is more of an improvement over the PS2 than the Xbox360 is over the Xbox. That doesn't mean they both arn't HUGE steps.

The PS3 is estimated to be be about 25 times more powerful than the PS2 while the Xbox360 is estimated to be about 14 times more powerful than the Xbox. To give you and example the PS2 was about 10 times more powerful than the PS1...
Based on the difference in performance between the PS2 and Xbox the power increases they'll both be getting will put them on equal playing fields next generation.

So the only reason Xbox360 would look like xbox1.5 to Sony is because they've been working with such stanky old shit for so long... it really does look like 1.5 by comparison rolleyes.gif

What I find funny is if the PS3 is so great and revolutionary, why couldn't they show any of it's power at E3, instead of pre-rendered CG movies for game demos? Even though MS only had alpha dev kits, at least it was something.

sony took a stab at them witch is very unprofessional...and also a sign of weakness...
you could also aruge that gates started this wiht his halo 3 comment
and you could also argue that this is all for marketing
gates remark was more geared twards marketing...
sonys remark was a stab...witch says to me they are afraid...so afraid they need to talk shit...if they are soo confident they could take down M$ with their dominant console they wouldnt make cheese
faux demos and they wouldnt talk shit...they would just do it...
M$ will just do it...like nike...
