hi

do i need to clean xbox 360 HSF regularly? or i can just let it goes dirty like with PS1 and PS2 ?

it seems y xbox 360 HSF is full of dust. now its Fan is louder.
now i cant sleep while keeping my xbox 360 on background download. (xbox is off but it downloading)
the fan is too loud.

if i dont clean it, will it result in damage?

currently i just suck the dust using vacuum cleaner from the ventilation hole.

thanks

btw in my PC, i usually clean the HSF every 3 month, and its full of dust. so thick that it look like a fabric.

clean it if u have spare time. The more dust stay on heatsink makes the air flow not optimal i gues. biggrin.gif

The dust cant hurt the 360 technically, but it can make the console overheat... So ya, it is good to clean it, and the way your doing it sounds fine you cant hurt anything that way.
