Just saw the movie, and must say I loved it.
One of the best scenes of the movie for me was when Wolvie went into his first berserker attack and killed that first guy. The emotion, the passion, the anger,......I almost cried.
What'd everyone else think of the movie?
P.S - Anyone care to explain where Hank Mcoy (aka Beast) was in the movie?

I loved the movie. Wolverine had an insane body count. And when he popped the bullet out of his head?? /me shivers
Cyclopse, however, could not have come off like more of a broad. His lip was quivering and he was moaning like a banshee the entire movie. Gee, I wonder why they focused way more on Wolverine when Cyclopse is supposed to be the leader...

Beast made a very brief cameo in his human form as Dr. Hank McCoy, who was being interviewed on TV. It only showed him for 1-2 seconds.

haha....yeah, when he got shot in the head, it surprised the hell outta me. But when the bullet popped out....too kewl.
I think Wolvie's interactions with whoever he met were just pure movie magic.....him talking with IceMan, getting his drink 'chilled' biggrin.gif, then talking to Collossus (more of him in X3 hopefully), his lust for Jean Grey, and his comment to Deathstrike when he sees her fingernails.....absolute classic biggrin.gif
Talking bout it just maked me want to go the movies again.

SPOILERS
.
.

For me the undisputed winners of this film, aside from Wolverine who was unstoppable, were Magneto and Mystique. Sucking iron through his bloodstream? Shit yeah...And Mystique was all Matrix on everyone, which I think makes sense considering what the logical implications of having such control over your body should mean. Inasmuch as anything is "logical" in comics, that is. Nightcrawler was nuts, too, and I was a big fan of the Asian chick, although I was pissed that they pick her of all the characters to make a no-returner.

The ending was fucking stupid though. It reminded me of the old league of justice cartoons, where someone like superman periodically had to "forget" his superpowers to stand a chance.

Cyclops was, I think, just like the chick they picked to cast as Rogue: totally designed to appeal to girlfriends dragged to this flick. They can relate to his reactions, and relate to Rogue's average appearance and sucky personality.

I didn't even notice the Beast reference, but I did see Remy Lebeux's name on Striker's computer screen...could it be a sign of things to come?

$6.50?? I dropped $9.25 x 2 so my girlfriend could defend Cyclopse.
"What's with the quivering lip?! Cyclopse is such a broad in this movie!"
"He lost his soulmate! Have some sympathy!"
"No he didn't! She's coming back as Phoenix, you hoe!!!"

Living proof of my theory. I figure, though, if we had to concede any male character to the female audience members, it might as well be Cyclops.

Also, do you think they'll actually go through the whole "Phoenix returns, hey it's Jean Gray reborn, professor X says so, ohfuckwait, no it's not actually her, she was healing in a spacepod, dark phoenix, kablooie" thing, or just make super Jean Gray and skip the foreplay?

yeah the dark pheonix refrences were way more obvious than i would have expect without actualy making it a main plot of the movie. i mean she even started to catch on fire at the end.

anyone know the complete list of mutant cameos?
i missed beast but i did see colosus, jubilee, siren, shadow kat, etc

and btw whats the mutant name of jason, the guy who can cause people to trip with his mind, strykers son. i remember him from the comics, especialy the big, two colored eyes. and i remember he looked like the hunchback of notrodame, even the costum but i cant think of the name.....

I really enjoyed it, thought it was much better than the first. I couldn't help but laugh at the end when Cyclops was wimpering like a little baby and Prof. X's explanation of "why" was: She made a choice. Lame!

Yup, saw it last night. As a Xmen fan, I must say I was pleased. All the stuff like the abandoned base where Wolvie was made, together with a well thought out plot made this a better movie than the first. But the biggest (and best) surprise came at the very end, when the camera tilts towards the water and we see a faint yellow dragon-ish shape there. Can you say PHOENIX!

The next one is going to absolutely rock. Guaranteed smile.gif

I saw this last weekend and I have to say - best comic book movie I have seen. Now I am not the biggest fan of this genre, but I must say that X2 had more of a comic book feel than any movie of its kind before it.
The effects were spectacular - the Nightcrawler opening scene was incredible. All in all I thought this movie was great.
