Hi.
So i have a 20gb im trying to take the data of and place on a 120gb (stock elite hdd).
And first of, ive read how to do this.

1 format 120gb hdd.
2 copy files from 20gb in xplorer360 partition 3 onto my pc.
3 then place it in my partition 3 on my 120gb.
(correct me if im wrong)

But im a bit unsure that xplorer360 is doing what it should.
Now i know that those small discs are slower but after about 2 and a half 3 hours it was still "dumping folder" copying to my pc from the 20gb, when i decided to close the program and go to sleep.

Is that normal, that it would take that long?
And i cant press calcell cause the program itself looks like its crashed. (but still the progress bar is loading files- just looks like its the same 10-20 files over and over again).

Im on windows 7 and i ran the program as administrator.

Im currently trying again, but this time just copying one "main" folder at a time out the four.

But seams like its doing the same as yesterday.

Ive got 22gb space on the disc its copying too, but it never drops in space available.

(sorry if ive left important info out)

But yeah thats about it.
hope someone has a good idea or tip.

sorry to bumb this.
But i found out that xplorer sometimes cant handle to many files at a time, so had to manually take a couple of folders at a time.

So i got everything from partition 3 on my computer.
Plugged in my 120gb (foramted in xbox) to my pc and loaded the files onto the 3rd partition.
I then connected it to the 360 and have this issue.

No games - no profile no saves - no nothing.

When i go to memory settings press Y i see that the capacity is 100+gb.
And that the current free space is 9+gb.,

Whats wrong here?

turn uac off pointless feature and i would give the extreme beta 6 version a try 2 and half hours does seem long seem to copy four files
you may need to resign the files im unsure i know nothing on the subject im just guessing
if you haev a transfer lead from ms you could always use the disk off that to transfer stuff to drive
or you may be able to move content by plugging in both drives to 360 and you using the transfer data option or whatever it says
i coldent say if that would work for sure as i don't have my lead (snapped it due to being a dick)i only have a memory card one
usb stick may also work ..

Xplorer360 is a nice tool but far from perfect. Even if the drive you are saving the back up to has enough space you have to consider the temp folder. Xplorer360 copies all the files to a temp folder before copying them to the storage space. It is a redundant process but this is what causes it to hang. If you run out of space due to if filling up the drive with temp folder it hangs. It is best to copy small amounts of data at a time. Also, do not copy any GoD folders. Delete anything to don't need before copying it to the new drive. In regards to your second post it sounds like the files were corrupted in the transfer. You will have to copy them again to the drive. You may also want to try Xbox 360 Commander.
