Alright guys I have been reading up on this chip and see its solderless which is nice but I was wondering how stable it is as when its not soldered the reason I ask is that I used a xbit and everytime it got knocked it (xbox) I had to realign it…

well you didn't make any mention of what chip you're referring to... possibly the spider chip.
If you want to see how wonderful it is - take a look at the problems people have w/ it. Most of it's user error -and when it's installed correctly i'm sure it works fine (it's basically an aladdin with some wires hanging off it.

Any solderless solution can't compete with a soldered chip... there's no contest there - so if you plan to do installs for other people (That arn't your friends) i'd suggest you not use solderless chips, unless you want them coming back to you every time the chip comes loose

I agree and would go as far as to say if you don't fancy soldering get someone such as otherguy to do a soldered mod for you.
