I want to replace my HDD but am strapped for cash. I have an 80 GB HDD lying around that was used in an old computer. If I put this in my xbox and use the Slayers 2.5 format tool will my HDD be usable. Or does it have to be a new drive. Thanks in advance.

It does not have to be a new drive, formatting it will erase everything and partition it for the xbox
