Hi I'm intending to buy a new GPS in my new car. Do you guys have any good suggestion? Among these functions, which are the ones most useful? Bluetooth and IPOD support, TV function, size of the screen? And what kind of GPS are you using? I use to buy DVD player from www.spam.com. Until now it's works well. And I'm also considering this one http://www.spam.com. Is it good? Or do you have any other suggestion? Many thanks in advance!

While that was a blatant spam post, I think the question is valid.
I use a Garmin Nuvi 205 in the car, and a Garmin Colorado 300 on the trail. I am probably gonna pick up a Garmin Oregon 550 when they are released next month.

Jailbroken Iphone 3g can get a real nice GPS for free
where can you get an iphone 3g for free?
i have an eclipse avn6600 (came with my car) and i honestly wouldnt recommend it, the maps are outdated and apparently it costs 330 dollars for an updated software disc
ive used tomtom on my phone and its really nice, so a standalone tomtom would probably be good

I have a double din kenwood in-dash unit with Garmin GPS and I love that thing... it works fantastic and it's really easy to use.... some other functions in the unit leave some to be desired... not bad over all.
the fiancee also has a tom tom ONE which works pretty well but I prefer the Garmin
back when GPS units were hella-expensive I bought a Garmin GPS USB adapter and ran a couple of different applications on my laptop.
"Street Atlas" was the worst ap I've ever used... but "Roads and Trips" was really good.
I have a Jenson DVD screen unit in my Vehciross and they make a GPS add-on unit for it... I'm a little worried about spending the money on it because it's a pretty cheap unit and isn't all that great.

Garmin is the only way I'll ever go. Owned a nuvi 260w and loved it. Insanely accurate and simple right out of the box. Thought I'd try a navigon because of it's lane assist, it had more up to date maps (garmin had however released a map update so big deal here) but the biggest pain is that the numbers to type in are so damn small they require a stylus or skeleton fingers and it tries to guess everything your typing (a supposed convenience) which translates into, if it can't guess it, it will lock you out from typing further. I found 1 out of 15 addresses over a 1 weeks time span. Needless to say I shipped that POS straight back for a refund. I'll be upgrading to a garmin wide screen with lane assist later this month.
