I have modded several boxes, and have never encountered this problem.

So I FTPd XBMP over to my f:\apps\xbmp directory, but when I go to load it from the evox menu it doesn't load.

The skin image changes to the loading screen, but I can see that the hdd isn't doing anything because the LED isn't blinking. From here the box just hangs until I manually cycle the power.

Any suggestions?? Thanks.

figured it out. had a bad/corrupt bios that would only work on bank1 and not bank2 of the 2.6ce, got a new, good one that boots on bank2. all apps load fine now.

I have the exact same problem as above except that I am running the Ndure 3.1 softmod. Nayone know what to do about this???
Also I have tried to install boXplorer, xbmp, and xbmc and all have had the same result.
I have however been successful at installing and loading linksboks
