Does anyone know if there is a way to select my hard drive as the default storage device and not prompt me again to choose. Certain games seem to want me to have to select my HDD every time I save my game. As you can guess, this is very annoying and I'm hoping there is a way to prevent those messages.

Some games allow you to do that by default, like Gears of War for example. I think it's up to the developer to put in the game.

To setup a game any other way is retarded. Who would choose to select the storage device each time. Curse you developers!

I agree totally. In Tony Hawk's Project 8 you have to select the hard drive when you first select career mode, so it can find your profile. Then you have to pick it again to load your damn career. It's really annoying. I can tolerate it once, but twice on startup is a bit much.

Anyway, thanks for the help.

Its because alot of games are multiplatform and the save/load flow had to be designed for all the consoles.

Its annoying but your going to have to live with it

I don't think has anything to do with games being multiplatform, it just oversight and/or laziness of developers. There are 360 exclusive games I've played that force you to do that too, and multiplatform games that don't require it. I think it would be pretty simple to develop a option to pick one save device by default. But I'm no developer, so I don't know.

I've played through the RPG Enchanted Arms and EVERY time you load or save game you have to tell it to look on the HDD and I dont even have any other storage medium attached (like a memory card). That was really annoying and the only bad thing I have to say about that game. As you can imagine, saving and loading is pretty common in a RPG game, so I really dont understand why the programmers made the game to behave that way. Extremely stupid design descision imo. Most other games I played remebers your first game storage selection and thats the way it should be.
