My button is broken but the usb ports still work so can i use a wired controller or some sort of PC gamepad for my xbox. Could i buy something like X TO PS3

get the play and charge cable for the wireless controller or a wired controller both will work.

You can sync the wireless controller by hooking it up via a play and charge kit. Once you do that, you can disconnect the cable and it will still stay synched to the console.
