I've got the asus with an xp2500 Barton core running as xp3200 with no problems on standard voltage.

Air cooled with coolermaster aero 7+ it's running at 39 degrees with the case closed up and doesn't go above 45 ever.

GIGABYTE ALL DE WAY MAN!

im a major major multimedia and p2p junkie, i love it more than games! (hence my xbox is configured better to watch movies etc.)

gigabyte nforce 2 mobos deliver performance and speed over ANY other mobo in its class.... i play the most awesome music on a creative soundworks inspire 5.1... my pc is also quite awesome at dvd with a gigabyte 9700pro (overclocked, naturally) and is actually awesome at games too (it did 700fps in quake 3)

i dont recommend epox, i have one and it overlocks horribly. i suggest getting an MSI, they're great.

MSI: Low heat, absolutely SHIT for performance/overclocking....

Gigabyte: high heat, AWESOME performance

Stock: Well priced, well performed...

ATI or nVIDIA? well ATI just about beats nVidia in every high graphics test to date, (see 9800XT vs 5950ULTRA). i personally love the .15micron chips they allow much more end user interference and accesibility, not to mention better clocking...

all in all 9700+ are all unrivalled cards but if ur after like xp media center then go for a 9600/9600XT better multimedia capabilities
