I have a xbox here with the following specs
V1.0 motherboard
160gb hdd <== Doesn't matter if i don't get the full 160gb but less because of lacking bios support.
Tsop to x2 5038
i'd like to modify it so i can use it with the official xbox XDK but i'm a bit confused about which bios to use. I've found the following bios files.
Yoshihiro debug bios 256k 2005 kernel - Seems like a modded bios which allows both retail and debug games to play
Complex 4627 Debug BIOS - slightly hacked xdk bios?
I'd like to use the latest 5933 XDK so i need a bios which supports those but i'm not certain which will work. Could anyone give me advice? I'd try the files i found but since i'm only using a tsop in this xbox it's easy to destroy it.
And one last question, since xbox xdk recovery disks/tools tend to destroy xbox flash/eeprom i'm planning to flash the tsop to a xdk bios and then desolderd the write protect bridges so the tsop is safe but the eeprom will still be exposed, will this be a problem for the available debug bios? (will they still work with a corrupt or empty eeprom)
