I was Flashing my Samsung TS-H943A and froze during Jungleflasher
Erasing Bank 0 ........................
Erasing Bank 1 ........(Froze)

Now The Drive will not do anything.
I have SamOFW.bin
I have SamCFW.bin

What should i do to finish flashing because now Jungleflasher cannot Find Drive

I have also Tried Iprep

But Everytime i get to the Power Flash the Drive Using MTK it returns the status 0x80
if i skip this step and go down and try to Write i get the error message Unknown Flash Chip

Any Ideas on how to get around this and Flash

ive had this happen a couple of times in the past...the way i get around it now is by using iprep in dos, inserting the power into the dvdrom and turning it on then after 5 seconds or so i insert the sata cable (whilst power is on) then just type dosflash and read it as normal, for some reason its the only way my computer will see the the status is correct (i still have to turn the drive off and on again before read to get the correct status).

a lot of the drives i get wont do on my jungleflasher (pre-flashed samsungs 99% of the time) so i use my old via computer and this method and it works fine.

There is no way to fix it. Once it goes D80, it is dead. People will tell you otherwise and keep telling you it can be recovered. It cannot.

it can be recovered i think you probably had via drivers installed which would of no doubt caused freeze
as long as you know port then you should be able to wipe in dos or frostys usb disk or dosflash or iprep or any of the other tools only drive you can break by bad flash is hitachi ..

Use dosflash.

enter dosflash and than you will get number 1-4 and it asks is your drive in here press no.

Than it will go to 5-9 and ask you is your drive here (it should be) you turn off your drive and press yes. After you did that you turn it on and it should flash it.

HELLO
I am not sure but I read somwhere that the samsung drive can be unbricked using a hardware methode (desolder the EEPROM(memory) and reflash it by a tool(programer hardware) and after that resolder-it to the samsung's PCB it is hard and require much money so it is better to spoof it by your liteon it is easy to flash and unbrickable ( in 99% of situations) not like samsung what is brickable.
so goos luck

It's recoverable, Sammys always are bless them.

I've never used dosflash, if I get problems with JF I got back to dos and MTKflash (with a via 6421 card). I believe Iprep will set it up for you, however I'm oldskool so hexedited it to see my via back in the early days.

Use the badflash method and you'll fix this every time. There's a tut on here somewhere, have a look in the stickys.

Regards

have you tried the via intro trick? Make sure your drivers are uninstalled and portio is installed then you click intro and turn the drive off/on rapidly. I hope this helps.

also, sammy writes the firmware to 4 banks, (bank0, bank 1, bank 2, bank 3) using the latest jungleflasher, its been that way for a while. Sammies are the slowest to flash and write and verify, they always make me nervious.

atleast you have your original firmware. now go buy a benq and use it to spoof as a sammy.

hellow I found this for you tray it:

Using Jungle Flasher v 0.1.67 load your ixtreme FW prpared before with the good key than pass to MTK FLASH 32 chose the good sata port where your samsung drive is connected (I know it is not detected ) than do 4 or 5 erase to your drive until you get the good info and statut of it if it will be detcted with 70's status click on write and JF will write the FW to it but if it stay undetected

pass to dos with dosflash v1.7 + ixtreme prepared in usb boot drive (drive pawer on):
start dosflash and when it ask you confirmation to vendor mode Y , turn off the CK or the drive by disconecting drive's power cable ,than write Y and confirm the status appears ,than you turn on the CK or reconnect the power cable to the samsung , this will change status , than you go to flash your drive

I hope this will help you , leave us informed about your drive's news and good luck
