Is there any plans on implementing MS's Media center capabilities into XBMC ?

Since the xbox360 features a very small hd, it will need a server to feed it.
Could this be done from the xbox ? Have 300GB in mine and would hate if I would have to turnon my pc to use xbox360 media features ??
Not to talk about all the running on stairs to turn it on/off.

he most likely wants xbmc to act as a stream-server for xbox360

too wild speculation even for me

lol, that would be weird, streaming video from one media center to another...

I don't see the xbox 360 being that much better in terms of streaming video from, may as well just keep the original black beast for that tongue.gif

I'd think the licensing fees alone would ensure that that never happens.

Because of the answer to the above. You'll have to turn on your PC. Luckily it wont have to be a Window Media Center Edition PC. However, I'll bet you will be forced to re-encode EVERYTHING video to WMV to make it work. I mean they can't very well go around sticking 'Plays for sure' logos on the 360 withput forcing people to re-encode.

Now can they?

Lets wait untill the 360 gets hacked befor we start we get the speculations running to high ok?

This might belong in a future xbmc360 forum, but for now lets just hope m$ have left some holes open for software exploits on the 360 too...
