Someone Help Please!, HDD problems Options

Hey guys, I am tryin to mod mybuddy's xbox, and i was using the xboxhdm, was getting it working, then the installer stopped, and said i didnt have and updated xbe, so i ran brute force, to get that on the xbox, started it back up, and then realized that i didnt have my C or E files on a cd, so then i rebooted it back up, and now i cant get it to go to the MS dash, it just goes to errors, ive tried makin an Evox boot disk, but they dont seem to work, if anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

if anyone could lead me in the right direction, i think that i just need to unlock my HD , but i cant get to the dashboard

Your post didn't really have much information to work with other than the fact that you can't boot to msdash.
First of all you were trying to hotswap to get software exploit on your msdash right? I think what probably happend is your initial install ruined your c drive since im guess you tried to do a rebuild. In either case you can't boot to msdash because your c drive is ruined. In ths case you have to find a working copy of c:\ and remake your xboxhdm cd and reinstall thats it. it would be nice if you post more on what you were tyring to do and what errors your getting. If you can't get it to work still.

ok, thanks man, but how do i put the C:/ back in? when i boot my xbox, it just goes straight to the error screen, with number 12, is there anway to hotswap when it doesnt get to the msdash?

i have gotten it to load up in the program, by hotswapping it right before the error screen, but i cant do any of the options because my xbox is locked, and i dont have my eprom.. anyone know of a method of unlocking ur HD with no dash or anything?

anyone know of a way to unlock it without anything really? i can get to the program recognizing it, but it wont let me do anything,

i read that if you unplug the dvd cable and hotswap when the error screen shows up, the hd is unlocked. anyway, i would go to xbins and find a uxe or ude2 package (use uxe if you are trying to mod a new pal 1.6 else ude2 is good) and install it manually. basically you copy the content in c to c in that xlinux distro (xboxhdm) and e to e folder etc... when you boot xboxhdm and hotswap your hd, you can use xbrowser to manually transfer the files over. like c folder to c partition and e to e partition.
