Hi,

So i have a XBOX 1.1 that is down with error 07 (hdd timeout) and after some research i have concluded that in order to repair it, i need:

1. SmartXX LT OPX
2. New Hard disk.

Is it correct to say that, i will only need to

1. Install the modchip
2. Replace HDD
3. Boot up XBox
4. Format HDD from the bios
5. Unlock HDD

and it will work again? Am i able to perform this HDD swap using Smartxx OS LITE? Or do i need to get this EvoX bios?

Thanks in advance!

For a considerably faster response use www.smartxx.com/forums

Almost

1. Install the modchip
2. Replace HDD
3. Boot up XBox
4. Format HDD from the bios
5. LOCK HDD

But you will need to put the software back on, things like the original xbox dashboard and such.

Forget the Evox BIOS, it's old and tired, instead use the X2-5035 bios, much better all round, do remember that the SmartXX is a chip, so you still need a hacked BIOS to boot all the homebrew and such.

For further info on usage of the SmartXX trip over to the forums mentioned above, find a post from me and click the usage manual link in my sig.

Good luck
