That is one of the nice things that the xbox had, was long cables. We aren't 8 years old anymore and sit right in front of the TV.

What a pain in the ass the PS3 controller is going to be because you have to plug it in to recharge. It is way better to have wireless 100% of the time with externally charged batteries.

video no longer available....

There will be longer cables for charging while playing. I agree external battery would be nice, but as long as you plug it in when your done it shouldn't be too big a problem.

Being able to swap a battery out without having to hook up any wires is a better feature. tongue.gif

I don't have to complain that is a fact. ph34r.gif

I don't think anybody said otherwise in this thread. In fact it was about the length of the two systems charging cords. One is free and can use an inexpensive cable can be purchased if you find that the free cable is too short.

Oh and you are still complaining, even if it is a fact. wink.gif

also the ps3 is a mini usb cable, so it would be absurd if they didn't

Does anyone know how long the charging time for both controllers are?

lol what kind of connection does the 360 use on the controller side? I'm guessing proprietary. Mini USB is fairly common many cameras/phones/etc utilize it. So far you can use generic USB cables and HDMI cables.

From what I understand the PS3 controller when purchased seperately doesn't come with a cable.

Personally I do not want a play and charge kit from MS because an external battery charger is superior for my needs. The x360 does come with free batteries; it is up to the user to decide if they want to continue to use batteries, the play and charge kit, or an external battery charging system.
