I have a Halo SE translucent green box that I have had softmodded for a while. I believe it is a revision 1.5 board. Points on the board have been soldered and I am using the xbox engineering disc to flash ind 5003. I have tried this twice and the flash fails and wipes out my C folder resulting in an error 21. I hotswap the drive and get my softmod back. Any ideas what may be causing this and how to resolve it?

TIA
Pacal

You'll have to be more specific about what you mean by the flash failing, as in what steps are you taking and what happens exactly when you try to flash?

What exactly does it say when you try flashing it? From the information given most likely the TSOP flash enable points aren't bridged.

Thanks for the response. So basically I am trying to flash the bios using the Hexen disc. It seems that all goes well up to the point when Gentoox asks where the bios file is located, I go to the advanced option, Gentoox points to the C file and I hit ok. Immediately it shows that the flash has failed, I get a flashing red light on the front of the xbox and an error 21. I hope this makes sense.

Thank again.

Does your Xbox have a Winbond TSOP chip?

When you say "Immediately it shows that the flash has failed", what exactly does it say?

Thanks for asking Heimdall. Yes, it is a Winbond.
I believe it just states "Flashing has failed"
I do not recall additional info on the screen.
