i had a glitched (coolrunner) falcon which powered to xell/nxe in the past but it no longered powered so the coolrunner was removed, if i am able to fix the motherboard to power again will any glitch chip do? like a pre programmed one?

Short answer is yes. However none seem to have the solid boot times that the coolrunner has. There's not much of a price difference either.
