Hi All,
I'm pretty new to soft modding but spent quite a bit of time reading different articles. I'm trying to mod a 1.6 xbox Kernel 5838.01 and dashboard 5960.01. Please see below what I have and let me know if I'm missing a step. 1) Origional Mech Assault (I checked the lasered version) 2) 200 GB Maxtor HDD 3) Madkatz memory card 4) mech Assault save game hack from xbins 5) I also have a modded xbox with an Xenium mod chip 6) save game manager to copy save game to modded xbox Can anyone tell me first of all if I'm missing anything? If not can you please give me a hint why mechassault either freezes or the xbox reboots when I try and "run Linux". Can I take advantage of my xenium and clone my modded 1.0 xbox?Sorry if I'm babbling just think I'm doing the right thing. Thanks in advance. Slayer_ca |

I am really new to modding as well, but I have read that using off brand memory cards can corrupt the game save. Maybe that is your problem? Try getting an actual Xbox memory card and see if it still happens.
