i want to have this underglow, really kewl the dots are perfectly aligned. of course they are using a board and have the leds soldered on it.

but since i dont know how, i need a simpler way. unless somebody knows hows they do it, that would be great too.

so far, i have been doing it a weird way. i take a cd case and cut it, then drill holes. i place the leds in the holes and then wire it to a 100 ohm resistor and have it lighed that way, i have not gotten it perfectly aligned or to a clear strain of light across the bottom area.

You could go to RadioShack and get a breadboard and cut it up to fit over the holes and use that to mount your resistors and LEDs to. That's what I plan on doing when my LEDs come.

I dont think that tut will look good on a translucent box.

iv been thinking about this alot, seen as im planning on doing this on my crystal le box.
so far iv come up wit one solution which isnt really to plausable.

Xxervio uses foilabove the leds to reflect the glow which gave me the idea, as the leds will be facing foward and would shine straight through the case i was thinking i could use some thick aluminum foil curved from above the leds to the bottom of the case (where the "slits" are) thats way the light would refract giving an intense glow facing down and block the light from shining through the control panel.

but i dont know how this will look through the form panel

im planning on doing it afterthe holidays, but if anyone has any better ideas let me know

these dots are kewl

i have never really used breadboard, how does it work. and will using 3mm or 5mm work as well if im not using smd leds.

is the foil method showing through the front panel, i didnt really get a great look at the pics that he made. but basically i want my front panel totally free of obstructions, and foil would not look great. even if the leds were so kewl. so if anybody had a better look at the pics that he had made. thanks.
