Is there anyway or tutorial on how to pot tweak a samsung? I've took apart the drive, but cannot find the pot. I cannot get it to read the lotr 4 disc box sets. My thomson drive read them fine.

Thanks for any help,
Foe-

Will it work on a PC DVD drive? It would be interesting to see if its some messed up form of copy protection like some Sony did to music cd's.

I've never once had problems with a Samsung blink.gif I doubt a POT tweak would help it read proper retail DVD's.

My Samsung won't read LotR: FotR, but will read The Two Towers (both special edition). Don't know what's up with it, every other DVD drive/player can read them fine. I wouldn't risk destrying a Samsung drive over it....

My friend MrNutz discovered this same problem about a year ago, when the FotR:EE came out.

See this old thread. Might have some info for you.

Like Aron said, I definitely wouldn't risk screwing up your Samsung drive just to play this movie. Your call, though.
