XBMC on soft modded xbox

My son recently bought Halo 1 at a used game shop and brought it home, we popped it in and it loads up to a screen that tells us the console cannot save game data due to a 2600 block minimum requirement. We really wanted to play co-op and it just wouldnt let us, the same thing popped up every time.

Loaded up morrowind and deleted our saved games but apparently it wasnt enough or the issue is something else...

How can I work around this? is something wrong here? what directory is halo attempting to use? can I manually go to the directory within xbmc file manager and delete files which are clogging it up?

its using E:\udata\random folders

its easiest to boot to the ms dash and delete from there..
but anything on e could be removed provided you know what it is and dont need it..

This might be the first time that I've ever seen anyone specifically mention that they had fewer than 50,000+ blocks available, haha. I'm sure that it's not uncommon, but it's just interesting to actually see it happen. As shambles1980 mentioned, anything/everything on the E:\ drive is consuming your space, so if you have lots of other stuff on your E:\ drive, like apps, games, emulators, etc, then you might need to get rid of some of them.

2600 blocks isn't that much is it? Roughly 42MB if my mental arithmetic is correct. So whatever there is on the E:\drive it must be very full.

Most Xbox games are between 1GB to 4GB so if you've any installed on the E:\drive then that's the obvious thing to delete. Just deleting saves won't do it as even Morrowind with hundreds of hours play will have less than 300 blocks/save slot. Probably far less You'd need to 8+ saves of that size to free up 42MB of space.

If this sort of thing is a going to be a problem again then think about installing a bigger HDD and as the others have said reduce the E:\drive content to the minimum and put everything on F\: or G:\. That's what most users do.
