I just got a 120GB Elite today and have never touched a 360 before. I disassembled it and had jungleflash get the drive info. The system is on Dashboard 2.0.14699.0 and has the Liteon DG-16D2S-09C DVD drive. It seems that it's on 0251 revision now though. I'm not sure what my options are for doing any sort of mods to this console. Is the drive flashable? Do I need a special burner to make backups with if it is? Or is RGH the better option, and if so, is there a service offered to have this done? Thanks. smile.gif

Yes. You will need some style of PMT probe to extract the key. Read the JungelFlasher tutorial for info.

Proper XDG3/AP25 backups will require an iHAS RevB burner.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Since a probe would be an investment, I may as well get RGH service and get everything. Flashing is only good for backups, but I'd rather have the homebrew capability. Thanks. smile.gif

id offer you RGH service but since you are in the UK that probably wouldn't be financially good for you, but look in our modchip installers section and you probably find someone around you.
