Ok my problem is I modded a xbox v1.6b with a smartxx v2 chip and a 200 gig hd for a friend. After some frustration with bioses I finally got it all working. I sent it home with him and he claims the first time he turned it on it did work. Anyway here is what its doing. I push the power button and it does 3 sets green flashes 3 times then flashes red and green. The hole time its doing the flashes nothing is showing up on the screen. Any help or comments would be helpful. Needles to say after this one I think I'm done modding.

that's called FRAGing and is usually associated with the d0 point. Wire may have come loose or something... what's happening is the onboard tsop isn't loading (chip is on) and is it's trying to load bios from chip but it can't because a wire is not soldered or something... maybe a little off but thats the jist of it.

If the box boots ok with chip off then the fault is not the D0 point or wire. The fault is the LPC connections to the chip. If the box FRAGs with the chip off then you have indeed a lifted D0 pad on the mobo. If the D0 wire alone pops off then the box will always boot the m$ bios as it doesn't even see the LPC mod a close visual inspection should reveal all.

I pulled the screws and looked at the motherboard and from what I can tell the d0 seems to be connected there is one point on the lpc rebuild board on the bottom that looks like it may not be connected think thats the problem. Its hard to tell for sure its go soldier but can't tell if it touches the point
