I have two core consoles. On one the drive fails to read (open tray issue) and the other has an AV problem (I see nothing, but can hear audio - this one has the Toshiba drive). So, I would like to switch the laser or rather replace the laser on the Liteon Drive with the Toshiba laser. Visually they both look the same and the process doesn't seem to be all that difficult. I tried fixing my Liteon for the open tray error, but no guide on the internet works for me, and they are a few who are advising that replacing the laser with a laser of diff make should work as well. Is this true? Is it that simple?

I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum sad.gif - This is an xbox 360 question.
Can a moderator please move this question to the appropriate forum?
