I like the battle rifle but I don't like the fact that it's blasts. It should be single shot. then it would be the best all around gun. I also like the plasma gernades

Even though the pistol is 1/2 the weapon it was in Halo 1, I think the SMG/Pistol combo is one of the most powerful.

two pistols with headshots are probably the most powerful and easiest to use... pp and pistol are second only because of the recharge time for the pp...

slightly off topic, but is the covie sniper easier to use than the human? i can just rack up kills with it in headlong but i miss about 50% more with the human... to be fair i must to you all that im not the best sniper: just starting to use it really as i generally dispise snipers and think them cowards for not joining the battle... although it is fun sniping, almost always yelling 'oooohhhhh!' when you get a headshot on a guy from across the map while they are trying to kill a teammate... smile.gif

yeah im a pirate... i mean hypocrite...

My favorites are the rocket launcher and sniper, just because everyone gets mad because i snipe them out of no where. Or smoke one from across the map.

It is a major improvement over its predecessor(?). Four shots to the head and they are down for the count.

Battle rifle, as you can take out players with rocket launchers, swords and snipers easily. (At a distance that is, added bonus against snipers as it removes their zoom on you)

Really good against duel smgs, just keep on backing off so the range of the smg lets the other player down.

..Also good for kill stealing, as one or two shots against someone in a battle will take them down.

Duel Magnums... I'll run all over a map to get Duel Magnums. Oh, and the Covie Carbine (I know, I know.) I hear endless debate about the battle rifle (love it on open boards), but I'll almost always drop the 'BR' for a good 'ole Covie Carbine.

Show me a Covie Carbine in the back, duel Magnums in front and a plasma grenade in reserve... and I'll show you a 10 frag lead. wink.gif

Side note... if you enjoy a good mod, I highly recommend the field-of-view hack for Halo 2. It comes bundled with the Magnum zoom. Holla! blink.gif
