I will as soon as a video comes out that does a step by step of how to do it. I think I can do it without, but I like to see all the points being hit and I have not put in resistors before and want to see how it is done. I know I can just use XBReboot, but I like the idea of a separate chip with the unsigned code on it. If I plan to sell it I can just desolder and it is back to normal. never plan on getting on live with this box.

I'm using xbreboot now, but I will be switching to freeBOOT soon due to freezing issues. I don't really feel like waiting for an update so I can play games again. I just haven't decided if I'm going to use xD card or buy a cygnos.

Did the XBReboot yesterday. The tutorials are nice. Don't plan on spending 50€ on the cygnos or cutting traces for the xd-card-mod. Will wait for a better solution or xbreboot updates.

Have XBReboot running on 2 boxes now. Flaky, but these are new waters! Looking forward to all the wonderful things we can do with an Xbox1 on the 360. Go Go Gadget XBMC!

Got XBReboot loaded onto mine. It's really buggy and hardly any games run properly but I'm not complaining smile.gif . I have all the bits ready to go for the xD card mod and Freeboot but I'm waiting to see what XBReboot updates get released. For now I'll just continue gaming on the unmodified Live 360.

I'm too lazy to get out my soldering iron and wire up an xD card. XBReboot will stay.

Tried XBReboot, hated the freezing, so I installed a second NAND chip and flashed freeBOOT, have no freezing issues anymore smile.gif

Similar to the xD mod, but I just used a second flash chip from an RROD 360

My next project is to use a microcontroller to switch NANDs, maybe implement USB->SPI flashing and temperature readouts in the near future

I'm just going to wait out a Xbreboot update. It's exciting times for the 360.

I had XBR on a Xenon (original NAND, which will get XBR again as soon as the freezing issue is handled) and I have freeboot on a Jasper16 with Cygnos V2.

I'd really like to see a homebrew soft to read/write (maybe even edit the image of/for) the NAND from within the 360. Would really make many things easier.

I was your age when I did my first mod and installed homebrew stuff with the original xbox, now I'm almost 21 and I wouldn't say this is easy, neither it's hard. It just takes some courage to take your xbox apart and abuse it like that tongue.gif

and if you don't have soldering skills, you can always let someone else do it for you happy.gif

Hint: always look for someone who can solder but not interested and/or doesn't know anything about this homebrew stuff, they'll do it cheaper wink.gif

back on topic, I installed XBReboot on my falcon two weeks ago and updated to the latest one as soon as it hit xbins, used the Gentoo Live CD this time around though smile.gif
