I came across a 4GB slim with a 9504 drive that has never been online I'd like to put LT3 on it my problem is I don't want to update the dash then have to do the kamikaze hack would I be able to buy the Xecuter pcb and inject the drive key then update? or should I update then put in the replacement pcb with the key. Sorry for the noob question my only flashing exp is with the phat models thanks in advance

here's what i would have done.....take out the unlocked 9504 drive....get the OFW out of it with key...then get your new backup PCB, go ahead and flash the OFW on the backup PCB and go on updating, then flash the new CFW into the unlocked one and you good to go biggrin.gif

If you don't have a backup pcb than see if itīs MXIC (03.....) and perform Sputnik hack after update

So with the backup pcb it's easy to unlock/lock? I was worried MS would lock the new pcb and bring me back to square one

There is a switch on the PCB which h/w unlocks/locks it.

That is awesome so I'll update the console with the old one while I wait for the pcb to come in the mail then when it shows up I can just flash it with LT 3 and lock it smile.gif
