I have a 200GB hard drive from a Hard modded (flash tsop) V1.0/v1.1 xbox. The F: shows up and got a bunch of files on it.

When I put this HD into a softmodded xbox, locked it, the F: shows 0GB. The xbox boots fine and C: E: is fine. I just can't access the f: drive. I already checked USE F: = YES.

What can cause this ? How can I use this Hard drive on the softmod xbox ? I don't want to format F:.

Change the softmod settings from 06 to 67, or vice-versa.

How do I do that when I use AID5 or SID to softmod ? I can't find such setting.

You need to read the SID manual.

You need to read the SID manual.

I read the manual from beginning to end. No mention of how to set 06 or 67. Can you tell me which chapter and what I should be looking for ? I can cut / paste the manual here if it's easier for you.

I've read the manuals for SID 3.1, AID 5.11 and AID 4.4 (the version I use) from start to finish when I first started this stuff. I'll admit too to being somewhat mystified by the 06 and 67 softmod settings reference. Rings no bells with me either and I've used SID/AID on 5 different Xboxes.

I even downloaded the full SID 3.1 and AID 4.4 PDF manuals last night and had a very quick scroll through and couldn't see anything referring to numbered softmod settings. Also Googled and the only thing that came up was this current thread.

You can have no doubt that whatever information Heimdall is talking about is somewhere in there but we unworthy souls smile.gif obviously need a little more direction.
