..do i tell what game represent what exactly it is????

meaning----i have used HDD loader to back-up my xbox games onto my hard drive, but then when i go into my xbox using flash fxp, i can't tell which game is which uhh.gif

Example----everything in hdd loader is just saved as game 1, game2, game3, etc, etc.

I even have gone into the actual game folders themselve to see if there is any file that i can read to see if said's the name of the game title, but no such luck.

Any help on trying to get me to identify which game title i have in hddloader would be most helpful--thank you.

Use your dashboard to load the game, not the application. Easiest way.

BTW, let's try to name our topics better.. Saying just "How???" is WAY too broad

there's a .txt file in the hdd loader folder, or in the root of c:\ called gamelist.txt (or something similar) that has a list of all the games that are in the HDD loader folder & thier associated folder names

The question is not----how do i access my games????

The question is--------how do i know what file goes to what game???

use some common sense for christ sake--not once am i complaining that i cant get access 2 it.

Dude, the moderator reply is so lame.

I'll admit a braoder question would help----but to suggest to just look at the dash--dumass!

he did answer your question, pxhddloader is crap when it comes to naming folders! obviously when you load the game you will find out what its called! dry.gif

dvd2xbox names the game folders with the name from inside the xbe, much better idea imo! wink.gif

Well if you still want to use hddloader then you must not have the latest version. I think it's 1.3, that not only creates a text file (telling you which games are in what folders) but even during using the program you can hit a button (black or white I think) that shows you the folder numbers with the game names.

Well wake the hell up and listen! If you want to persist with HDDLoader then get the latest version! How hard is that to understand? If that's too hard for you, then get an .xbe tool and take hours to individually copy the .xbe's to your pc and run them through one of those DOS based tools.

jeez man....be nicer to the people who are trying to help you. when you act as if they're stupid and you already know everything, no one gives a shit whether or not your stuff works.

lighten up and be a little more grateful.

You know, I really pondered wether I wanted to repond to this thread and even give this jackass the time of day but this might help other people.

Don't scream at me for this jackass, it's just an idea.

I don't backup games on my hdd but it seems like he can't tell what's what because the folders or files of the games don't say the name of the game exactly. If you create a dummy file ( .txt file will do, will take up 1k of space) and name it as the title of the game and stick it in the game folder, you can always open up the folder and see what game it is by the dummy file. You can stick a 1 in front of it or something so it's always the top file in the folder.

Someone with a lot of games on their hdd might not want to go through all the trouble but it's not a bad idea to start doing going forward for someone just starting to backup their games.
