Zune HD Promo Video Offers Quick Peek at Hardware's 3D Gaming Capabilities
Posted by XanTium | September 14 01:32 EST | News Category: GamingGeneral

From gizmodo.com:
[QUOTE]
As the Zune HD launch looms ever closer, a smorgasbord of purported launch videos have offered up what appears to be the best demonstration yet of the sleek, sexy portable's 3D gaming capabilities.

The 3D gaming example, Forza 3, debuts at about the 30 second mark in the video above. It's a fleeting glimpse, but it's solid evidence nevertheless.

Unless it has a proper D-pad and buttons then I'm not too interested. I'm not a big fan of fiddly touchscreen devices at the best of times, especially not when it comes to gaming. I'm guessing it'll just be the same type of games found on the iPhone. Other than that it looks like a pretty cool MP3 player biggrin.gif . I've never actually seen a Zune in real life.

Too bad it's only being released in the US.

I was really looking forward to this. Guess I'll have to buy one of e-bay or something.

Unless it comes with a phone built in and can tie in with my iTunes collection it a no go for me.

Microsoft is never going to get anywhere as long as there is Apple and the iPhone. People does not want to carry around multiple devices with them everywhere they go anymore. With the iPhone being a phone, gaming platform, internet terminal, GPS, and hand held computer it is going to be pretty hard to beat.

But there sure is some impressive hardware built into that Zune.

Looks really good..... in promotional videos.
Now, if it breaks the $249.99 price point with under 8gb they can kiss my arse.

IF its say, $249.99 for a 30gb, I may think about it.

But, I have my iphone, gota come up with some better stuff then this to sell me.

the OLED screen is a nice point though

It's a little off topic, but does anyone have any idea what the contrast ratio is like on these OLED screens?
