I have Freeboot with XEX loader v.26 and I cant figure out how to install games the stock 120gb hard drive and play them without the DVD in the drive. I made HDD1: Games/"My Game" and I can see the game in the XEX loader main menu but when I try to play it it goes to the dashboard and says "This game could not start. Please download the game again". I have tried deleting the TitleUpdate folder from the HDD but I still get the same error. I have tried patching my XEX with XEX tool 5.2 but I still cant get it working. I can load the game from the DVD drive just not when copied. Please someone help me get my Christmas present working smile.gif

Delete your entire cache folder. It takes forever from usb, but it fixes the problem.

I was able to Patch GTA 4 with xex tool and I got it to run. I cant do it again for some reason. It keeps telling me no XEX file specified even tho I can do other changes to the xex.

I'm serious, I got the same errors. You need to delete everything in your cache folder or xexloader won't run games right.

Although dumping from xextool is unreliable. I dumped the Halo 3 disk, and it must have been scratched up enough where it didn't dump correctly. I got no text (but gameplay) after dumping halo 3. It is much better to extract the .iso from your computer with xbox backup creator, patch it with x360gamehack, and transfer it to hard drive. Xextool is kind of a shoddy program if your games aren't pristine I guess.

Thanks that helped out. Now I got them all working smile.gif
